This case study should serve to illustrate the unequivocal benefits clients can attain when taking advantage of the increased efficiencies combining the various skillsets of our teams can generate on their behalf.
This particular project would require the combined skillsets of a number of surveyors from different teams, with very different backgrounds and concerns the potential to develop an urban reclamation project on behalf of a long term client who wished to develop a land asset. The combined team, consisting of a number of Chartered Surveyors (general practice, building and environmental), along with a team of Building Consultants (Architects, Engineers and Project Manager), came up with a number of innovative plans, any of which could successfully breathe new life into a local community by taking what was a largely disused commercial designated land asset and drafting detailed plans that could ensure the asset could satisfy all relevant criteria in order for it to be re-zoned and redeveloped into a focal point of the community. The plans were drafted to comprise a mixed use development, which could serve to both regenerate an area that had largely been left to go to rack and ruin, in addition to greatly enhancing the value of the original asset.
The combined teams worked together to ensure every aspect of the detailed project could be carefully crafted to ensure the planning application would be a formality, envisaging every different scenario to ensure any finished project would be a resounding success. The various skillsets required for the project necessitated a variety of surveyors would need to work together, each contributing their own distinctive expertise including a mix of Environmental, Building, QS and General Practice Surveyors, along with the traditional key construction players including Architects, Engineering disciplines and Contractors, all being Project Managed in-house.
